Close to home, Folsom Rodeo CX puts on a weekly cyclocross race Wednesday nights at the Rodeo Fairgrounds starting September 3rd. Fantastic course set-ups, superb timing, and a great introduction for beginners. The races are split by age and ability level and are designed for all levels of riders. Cyclocross combines the best of road biking and mountain biking, builds power, endurance, and anaerobic capacity (and moral courage when it's raining or snowing).
