SRAM's hydraulic road systems have a seal design flaw and are being recalled. Since the seal design could cause a brake failure in either extreme cold or regular temps--it's important to get the word out quickly.
Step 1-stop riding SRAM's hydraulic road systems. 2) Get your bike into your LBS asap. 3) Your local bike shop will replace the affected systems w/ either a temporary non-hydraulic brake/shifter set which you can use until the re-engineered system is ready--or you can keep the replacement set-up and SRAM will be arranging credit once everything is finalized with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Hydraulic road brakes offer fantastic performance. While it's sad to see this happen, SRAM's focus on safety is admirable, and they are doing everything they possibly can to help consumers/dealers/bike manufacturers and correct the seal problem as quickly as possible.
